Dan & Michelle’s Engagement Session!

Yes – this is post #2. You’ll recognize some of the same photos, but I’ve now moved my blog to WordPress so I wanted to test out a new photo size…

Canon 5D Mark II
24-105mm
I’ve known Dan since I was 19….so like 2 years now? Ha. Just kidding. I’m thrilled to see him so happy with Michelle – and she’s so awesome! Match made in heaven, those two. We had a great day of shooting around the Valley, with all of the fall colors and amazing clouds.

A Day at Nick’s Cove

Yesterday looked gorgeous. Looks can be deceiving. It would have been amazing if the wind had packed up and taken its wrath to another town. Even with the frigid winds, the setting was spectacular and the day was fantastic!

365 Days of Photos – Photo 54

Vacaville, CA
2006
Canon 20D
Oldie but goodie…this photo has always struck a chord with me. When I shoot fine art, I shoot what I see…this was near the Milk Farm sign among other discarded items.

Snowball Fight in Times Square!

Reasons I love this:
1. I love snowball fights
2. I love Times Square
3. I love candid photography
4. I love black and white photographs
5. This makes me so happy

Thank you to Doug Kim, Photographer, for sharing these photographs with the world. You made my day.

SeaGlass Photoshoot!

I was SO excited to do this shoot! My boss and I launched this brand a couple of years ago and it came time to update the glamour shot. I took the initiative to do the shoot this time and have confirmed my passion – food photography. I’m so lucky to have an amazing facility available for shoots…you can’t go wrong when the venue is perfect, the food is perfect, the dishes and flatware are perfect, and the view is perfect! Here is a glimpse into Wednesday’s shoot…

Night Harvest 2009

On October 8, a friend and I headed out to Arbuckle, a tiny town off of I5, between Napa and Red Bluff. It was the end of harvest and only two harvesters were out in the fields. It was my last chance to catch night harvest in action. Check out some of the photos from that night…and yes, we got to ride on the top of this massive machine. It was absolutely awesome.

Next year, I’ll head out at the end of August and catch ten or more harvesters going at once…I hear it looks like a carnival with all the lights! (A good carnival…no carnies.)

PS – They were picking Moscato…we picked a couple and ate them right off the vine…tasted just like Moscato!

2009 Wrap Up

I’ve shot a lot more than just these, but here is a snippet of some of the shoots I’ve done over the past year. I had to kick off this blog in the best way possible! Cheers to many shoots, many photos, many hours of editing, and meeting new clients!
